Pearl Windows’ New Build division has held the first of a new series of installer events, bringing together fitting teams from its own operation and SG as the two businesses are brought under one roof. Pearl Window Systems has recently acquired and merged SG Window Systems into its New Build Division.
Twenty-two installation teams gathered at the Tough Sheet Stadium in Bolton for an evening the company said was about getting to know one another, establishing ties across the combined workforce and looking ahead to what it can achieve together.
Introductions were, in many cases, a formality. Pearl described installation as a cottage industry in which many teams have known each other for years. “It was great to get everyone together in one place and put some faces to names,” the company said.
The social agenda had a practical edge. Pearl’s IT team demonstrated the Pearl Installer App, which lets fitters manage jobs on site, work through individual windows and doors, add notes and photographs, capture signatures and sign off jobs digitally. The app also keeps working without a signal and syncs data automatically once connectivity is restored.
The company used the event to announce referral incentives for bringing new installers on board, as well as bonus incentives for teams tied to completed installations.
A few Peronis and a lot of pizza later, Pearl declared the evening a huge success. It thanked both the organisers and the installers who made the effort to attend.
“It was a great opportunity to bring our combined teams together, share what’s happening across Pearl New Build and SG, and start building the relationships that will be so important as we move forward,” the company said. “And this is just the start.”
Why This Matters: This event highlights the importance of collaboration between manufacturers and their installer customer base. It was also significant as it further developed the merging of SG Window Systems into the Pearl Windows New Build Division. The investment in the new build market is also interesting as it supports the belief that this sector has potential for growth. There is no doubt other fabricators will be watching with interest as they look for new markets to develop to counteract the pressures being witnessed in the trade domestic supply sector.
