PRODUCTS: Guardian Glass unveils Claria AI assistant to bolster client glass expertise services

Guardian Glass has unveiled a new generative AI-powered assistant designed to help customers navigate the technical complexities of glass selection and specification.

Named CLARIA, the assistant is now live on the Guardian Glass website and draws on the company’s decades of product knowledge and manufacturing expertise. It offers tailored recommendations, technical insights, and access to a wide array of resources to guide users through the process of selecting the appropriate glass products for their projects.

The tool is aimed at architects, fabricators, and specifiers who require detailed information about glass performance, production processes, and regulatory compliance. It allows users to ask questions in natural language and receive instant, context-aware responses. Capabilities include recommending glazing solutions to meet project requirements, identifying local suppliers of fabricated glass, and directing users to relevant content across Guardian Glass’s online platform.

CLARIA also supports multilingual functionality, adapting to the language and regional content of each local site. According to the company, this enables a more personalised experience for users around the world.

Steven Scrivens, Global Head of Digital Platforms at Guardian Glass, said the assistant responds to a shift in how customers seek information in a “fast-evolving digital landscape”. He said: “Guardian is embracing this change, providing customers with the ability to access large bodies of information and generate value-added results quickly and efficiently.”

The launch follows a development process that began with internal experimentation and progressed into a fully integrated digital solution. Taysseer Sharaf, Director of AI and Data Science Solutions at Guardian Glass, said the project grew from a proof of concept into a “cornerstone of our digital engagement strategy” through cross-functional collaboration.

By automating routine and complex inquiries, CLARIA is designed to reduce the time users spend searching for technical details. Guardian Glass says the assistant enables continuous interaction across multiple questions, maintaining context to offer more accurate and efficient support.

The global rollout of CLARIA comes as digital tools become increasingly integral to product selection in the construction and architectural sectors. The company describes the assistant as a means of delivering Guardian Glass’s technical knowledge directly to customers in a format that is both accessible and scalable.

CLARIA is now available in all supported languages on the Guardian Glass website, with region-specific adaptations to reflect local standards and building codes. The company hopes the tool will enhance the way professionals interact with its services, making complex information more navigable and actionable.

Why This Matters: CLARIA marks a major step in digital transformation for the glass industry with the ability to streamline technical support, improve access to specification data, and empowering professionals globally with instant, intelligent insights. It sets a new benchmark for customer engagement and operational efficiency. Seeing first hand how AI can be practically used in the market will help increase its adoption.
