News: Voilàp Glass secures majority stake in Mappi International to expand offerings

Voilàp Glass, the holding company formed by Voilàp S.p.A. and Mamisa, has secured a 51% majority stake in Mappi International, further cementing its position in the global glass processing machinery market. The acquisition, which includes Mappi’s renowned expertise in designing and manufacturing glass tempering and laminating equipment, is set to enhance Voilàp’s capabilities and strengthen its competitive edge.
The remaining 49% of Mappi International’s shares will stay with Nancy Mammaro, who has led the company as CEO, alongside Ermanno Petitti. Both will continue in their leadership roles, ensuring the continuity of Mappi’s growth trajectory.
Valter Caiumi, CEO of Voilàp Group, hailed the acquisition as a significant step in the company’s strategic growth. “This acquisition, building on our successful partnership with Keraglass, reinforces our commitment to providing innovative, high-quality solutions for our customers,” he said. “With Mappi and Keraglass now under our wing, Voilàp is poised for continued expansion, staying true to our shared values of quality and innovation.”
The deal has also attracted attention for its potential to synergize Voilàp’s existing portfolio. Mappi International’s established presence in glass tempering and laminating technology complements Voilàp’s broad expertise in processing materials for industries like aerospace, automotive, and renewable energy. This acquisition represents a key move to diversify Voilàp’s offerings in the sustainable building materials sector, a core area of focus for the group.
The transaction was supported by Deloitte for financial services, PedersoliGattai for legal matters, and PPI & Partners for fiscal consultancy. Mappi International benefited from legal representation by Rödl & Partner and economic guidance from Dr. Daniele Salvati.
Nancy Mammaro expressed confidence in the new partnership, stating, “I am confident that this collaboration will provide Mappi with fresh expertise and strategic insights, guiding us to new milestones while preserving our core values.”
With this acquisition, Voilàp not only bolsters its technological capabilities but also extends its footprint in the highly specialized glass processing sector. The deal underscores the group’s long-term vision to expand its portfolio of high-end industrial solutions while continuing to address evolving customer demands.
Why it matters: This strategic acquisition enhances Voilàp Group’s market position by integrating Mappi’s advanced glass processing technologies, bolstering its existing investment in Keraglass. The move allows Voilàp to offer a broader range of high-quality solutions, accelerating growth and fostering innovation in the glass sector.
