Regency Glass hosts sterling PVCU clients for triple glazing showcase +VOX

Growing market interest in ultra-thin glazing systems is drawing manufacturers and installers closer to the production line. That trend was evident as Sterling PVCU, a long-established fabricator of PVC-U and aluminium windows and doors, recently visited Regency Glass alongside a group of its trade customers for a dedicated product familiarisation day.

The visit marked the latest step in the rollout of Regency Triple®, an ultra-thin triple-glazed unit featuring Corning® Enlighten™ Glass. Designed to address long-standing challenges associated with traditional triple glazing, the product drew attention from attendees keen to better understand both its construction and practical application.

Sterling PVCU brings more than three decades of fabrication experience to the partnership. The company operates three factories and employs 110 staff, supplying customers across a wide geographic footprint stretching from Hereford to Leeds and from Birmingham to Blackpool. Its reputation has been built on consistent product quality and a focus on durability and energy performance in window and door systems.

During the visit, guests were given a close-up view of the unit’s composition, with particular attention paid to its reduced weight. Regency Triple® is approximately 30% lighter than standard triple-glazed units, a difference that has direct implications for installation. The lighter structure removes the need for heavy-duty lifting equipment, offering a more practical solution for installers while maintaining the performance expectations associated with triple glazing.

Attendees also observed the Glaston ULTRA TPS® production line in operation, providing insight into the manufacturing process behind the units. The demonstration offered a clearer understanding of how material selection and production methods contribute to the final product.

Sterling PVCU credited Wayne Fitzmartin, Wes Clarkson and Lauren Addi for hosting the visit and facilitating access to the facility. For both companies, the event served as an opportunity to strengthen relationships with trade customers while introducing a product positioned to respond to evolving demands within the glazing sector.

Why This Matters: The triple-glazing revolution is gathering pace in the UK. The introduction of Regency Triple® will help accelerate the adoption of triple glazing across the market. Being 30% lighter than alternative triple-glazed units is a significant advantage and addresses numerous arguments against wider uptake. These open days are an important part of the process, allowing trade window manufacturers to demonstrate the reality of Regency Triple® to their customer base.
