UK PRODUCTS +VOX: Endurance Aluminium expands portfolio with aluminium sash window
Endurance® Aluminium has expanded its product portfolio with the launch of a new range of aluminium sash windows, broadening an offering that already spans windows, doors and internal screens.
Available with immediate effect, the new collection reflects the fabricator’s ongoing focus on product development and arrives in response to what the company sees as limited choice within the aluminium sash segment. According to Endurance, homeowners seeking this particular style have historically faced a restricted market.
Russell Hensman, group marketing manager at Endurance, said the decision was driven in part by demand from installer partners.
“Historically, homeowners looking for aluminium sash windows haven’t been spoilt for choice,” he commented. “This particular type of aluminium product hasn’t tended to be widely available and we’ve taken the decision to introduce our new range to help our installer partners maximise the opportunities presented by this gap in the market.
“In addition, the launch of the new range reflects our desire to provide homeowners with enormous design freedom and a wide choice of fenestration solutions to suit any individual taste or property style.”
The new sash windows are designed to replicate the appearance of traditional timber while avoiding the maintenance requirements typically associated with wood. Endurance states that the range delivers strong security credentials, with certification to PAS 24 standards, and achieves U-values that meet the requirements of Approved Document Part L for new build projects.
From a design perspective, the windows feature slim frames and are available in a broad selection of colours. Gloss white, jet black and anthracite grey are offered as standard, with additional RAL colours available on request. Decorative horns and mullions can also be specified to reinforce a period aesthetic.
Hensman added that the launch forms part of a wider strategy to support installers. “Endurance Aluminium continues to launch new products and service initiatives as part of our belief in offering our installer partners a complete package,” he said. “We want to give them all the tools and support they need to succeed and to reap the benefits of the growing popularity aluminium fenestration solutions.”
With the introduction of the sash range, Endurance Aluminium further consolidates its position across the residential fenestration market, targeting both installer demand and evolving homeowner preferences.

Why This Matters: As Russell observes, choice remains constrained for homeowners seeking aluminium sash windows. The category has long been underserved. Several years ago, a niche manufacturer introduced the Alumatherm window — a technically accomplished product that, with hindsight, appears to have arrived before the market was ready to absorb it at scale.
The landscape in 2026 is markedly different. Aluminium has moved decisively into the mainstream of the UK fenestration sector, propelled by improvements in thermal performance, durability and slimmer sightlines that align with contemporary architectural preferences. At the same time, demand for heritage-inspired products has strengthened, driven by planning sensitivities, conservation requirements and a broader aesthetic shift towards period authenticity. Sash windows sit squarely at the intersection of those trends.
Yet despite this convergence of favourable conditions, supply remains limited. Conversations across the trade reveal a persistent shortage of credible aluminium sash window manufacturers capable of delivering both technical compliance and authentic detailing. Against that backdrop, Endurance’s decision to enter the segment appears strategically astute — a move that recognises a structural gap in the market rather than a passing design fashion.
