NEWS +VOX: Regency advances Warrington expansion as new facility gains momentum

Regency Glass is moving through a decisive phase in its shift to Warrington, where a 420,000-square-foot facility at Omega Business Park is taking shape as the company’s next manufacturing base. While operations continue in Leigh, the new site is progressing through an extensive build-out backed by strategic investment from CorpAcq.

The company received the keys in late September, and the transformation since then marks one of Regency’s largest undertakings to date. The Warrington plant is being developed to support increased production capacity and higher quality standards, setting the foundation for long-term growth. Early equipment installations signal how quickly the project is moving. The first Glaston thin-glass line is now in commissioning, and a second line is being assembled alongside it to widen output and give the business more room to adjust production as demand shifts.

Further installations are advancing on schedule. The first thin-glass HEGLA Galactic cutting table is due to be fully commissioned by the end of the month, while two arrissing lines are already operational. Work on a new toughening plant, a key component of Phase One, is also underway.

The timing aligns with a notable development for the UK glazing sector. Regency plans to introduce Regency Triple featuring Corning® Enlighten™ Glass in early 2026. The unit is designed to offer strong energy performance with reduced weight compared with traditional triple glazing, aiming to ease installation requirements while improving thermal results.

Chief Sales Officer Steve Massey says the Warrington move represents a broader shift for the company. “This move to Warrington is about more than a bigger site. It’s a step-change in what’s possible for IGU manufacturing here in the UK. Every technology we add and every process we refine is designed to give our customers an edge, so they can deliver high-performing, more efficient, and easier-to-handle insulated glass units to market,” he says. He adds that the introduction of Regency Triple featuring Corning® Enlighten™ Glass is intended to raise expectations for thermal performance and ease of use.

Regency views the new facility as the anchor for a scaled, closely coordinated manufacturing hub intended to support customers, partners, and employees over the long term.
