UK PRODUCTS: Slim-profile aluminium window system designed for energy efficiency and modern living

Aluprof has launched a new slimline aluminium window system for the UK designed to deliver strong thermal performance, long-term durability and minimalist aesthetics for residential developments.

The MB-79N CSF window forms part of the company’s “Aluprof Living” range and is aimed at homeowners and architects seeking high-specification glazing with narrow sightlines and enhanced energy efficiency. The system is built around thermally broken, three-chamber aluminium profiles available in two insulation variants: a standard ST option and a higher-specification SI version incorporating additional insulating inserts.

Both variants support double or triple glazing, achieving U-values as low as 0.93 W/(m²K) with the SI version – figures that position the system as a strong contender in energy-conscious building design. Slim fixed-frame sightlines of 35.2mm and operable casement profiles from 60.5mm allow for larger glass areas, maximising natural light without compromising structural strength.

The outward-opening window system can accommodate fixed, side-hung and top-hung configurations. A proprietary hybrid hinge supports casement weights up to 80kg, allowing for larger panes while maintaining ease of use and weather resistance. The system accepts glazing units up to 63mm thick.

Aluprof says the MB-79N CSF offers benefits across the supply chain. For fabricators, the system has been designed for streamlined production with dedicated tooling and efficient assembly processes. Architects and designers can select from a wide palette of powder-coated or anodised finishes, including RAL and wood-grain colours, enabling custom aesthetics.

The system also meets demanding performance standards for security and environmental resilience. Optional burglary resistance classes RC1 to RC3 are available, along with hurricane-impact testing in line with Florida Building Code regulations. Marine-grade finishes protect against corrosion in coastal and urban environments.

Aluprof has positioned the MB-79N CSF as part of a broader move to bring high-performance aluminium glazing into modern homes without compromising on visual appeal or energy efficiency. The “Aluprof Living” range aims to support large-format glazing and statement entrances, combining polyamide thermal breaks with advanced insulating technologies.

UK homeowners can access the system through Aluprof’s nationwide dealership network, which offers specification guidance and installation support. The company says the system is designed for long-term, low-maintenance performance and will meet evolving building standards while offering design flexibility for decades to come.
